How do the Bubble Boot sizes work?

Our Bubble Boots are designed to fit across two sizes. The thermal liner provides the smaller size, while the boot itself is the next size up.

For example:

Size 3 liner (EU 20) → fits inside a Size 4 Bubble Boot (EU 21)

Once your child outgrows the smaller size, simply remove the liner and they can continue wearing the same Bubble Boot as the next size up.

How To Measure

Please note; WE RECOMMEND TO TRY THE WATERPROOFS ON YOUR CHILD, BEFORE ASSUMING THEY ARE TOO BIG; OUR WATERPROOFS ARE MADE WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO PLAY, BEND AND CLIMB - THEY LOOK MUCH LARGER WHEN LAID FLAT/HELD UP AGAINST YOUR CHILD. HOW TO MEASURE

Our sizing is based on a child’s height; for example, 100cm is designed to fit children approximately 100cm tall, measured from top of head to toe.

EXAMPLE : IF YOUR CHILD IS 92CM THE SIZE 90CM (2-3 years) WILL FIT YOUR CHILD AND ALLOW ROOM FOR GROWTH, please do not size up.

It is suitable to size up if your childs height is close to the measurement (IF YOUR CHILD IS 98CM THEN SIZE 100CM WILL FIT)

We hand measure all of our waterproofs by laying them down on a flat surface. To get the best possible size, we recommend finding an item of clothing that fits your child perfectly and laying down on a flat surface. Compare our measurements with yours so that you can find the perfect size for your child.

To find the best measurement for a jacket, we recommend looking at the Cuff to Cuff measurement. Ask your child to stand like a scarecrow with their arms out straight, and measure from one cuff to the other.

Wet Wednesdays sizing is specially designed in the UK to allow room for growth and the freedom to move & play.

Our Bubble Boots are designed to fit your child for two sizes, as an example; a size 3-4 Bubble Boot (listed as 3 Infant) fits for two sizes, as the inside liner is a size 3 and the wellington itself is a size 4. Once they have outgrown a size 3, you take the liner out and they fit in the next size up (the wellington by itself.

The Great British Bobble & Our Sou'wester Rain Hats are different sizes. The Merino Wool Bobble Hats are available in two sizes, and the rain hats are available in three sizes.

The Great British Bobble:
  • Size Small/Medium (S/M) - Suitable for ages 1-3 years old.
  • Size Medium/Large (M/L) - Suitable for ages 4-11 years old.
Sou'wester Rain Hat:
Using a tape measure, measure your head about one-half inch above your eyebrows where your hat will rest.
  • Size Small - Suitable for ages 1-3 years old. Head Circumference 52cm.
  • Size Medium - Suitable for ages 3-5 years old. Head Circumference 54cm.
  • Size Large - Suitable for ages 5-11 years old. Head Circumference 56cm.
Waterproof Mitten Gloves

These mittens have a longer length design to reduce the risk of gaps between your child's hand & sleeve. There is an elasticated band to keep the mitt in place as well as having a popper to attach to its mate or to a rain jacket. We have improved our sizing, so our mittens are suitable for your baby, toddler or for your older children!

Waterproof Mittens:
  • Size Small - Suitable for ages 1-3 years old.
  • Size Medium - Suitable for ages 4-8 years old.

We try our best to keep our delivery costs as low as possible whilst still offering a reliable & fast Tracked Delivery Service.

Orders placed before 11am will be dispatched same day, all orders after this time will be dispatched the following day.

An order placed after 11am on a Friday will be packed up the following Monday for Dispatch.

Please take into account*, if you place an order after 11am, it will be shipped the following day. As an example: if you order with Tracked24 delivery on Wednesday at 11am, your order will be dispatched Thursday so delivery should be expected Friday/Saturday. We are closed on the weekend, so any orders placed after 11am on a Friday, will be dispatched the following Monday.

 

Royal Mail Tracked 48 (Standard Delivery) aim to deliver within 2 working days after dispatch. Royal Mail Tracked 48aim for 2 working day delivery but it is not guaranteed.

Royal Mail Tracked 24 aim to deliver the next working day after dispatch. Royal Mail Tracked 24 aim for next working day but it is not guaranteed.

 

Please note, we are unable to ship to British Forces Post Office® addresses (BFPO), please only use a Full UK Delivery Address.

*All deliveries to Northern Ireland often take a day longer than mainland UK. For example if you order with Tracked 24, it will likely take 2-3 days, and if you order with Tracked 48, it will likely take 3-4 days.

If you are not 100% happy with your purchase we promise to refund or exchange any item if returned unworn, with tags attached and in its original packaging within 30 days.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you are concerned about delivery. If your parcel is marked as delivered but you have not received it, please check your safe place and with neighbours. If we have evidence of delivery via specific Royal Mail GPS or photo evidence, we are unable to offer a refund, unless the items are returned.
