5 Easy Halloween Games for Kids
Halloween is the perfect time for spooky fun, and if you’re planning a party for little ghouls and goblins, you’ll want activities that are simple, safe, and guaranteed to make them giggle. These 5 easy Halloween games are low-prep, family-friendly, and perfect for children of all ages.
1. Ghost Balloon Volley
Turn ordinary balloons into ghostly fun! Simply blow-up white balloons and draw spooky ghost faces with a marker pen. Kids can bat or a stick them around like a volleyball. You could do no hands allowed if you want to make it trickier! The challenge is to keep the ghost in the air without letting it touch the ground.
Why we love it: It’s cheap, silly, and great for burning off energy.
2. Pin the Spider on the Web
This is a Halloween twist on the classic “Pin the Tail on the Donkey.” Draw or print a big spider web and make small cut-out spiders or you could buy sticker ones. Blindfold the players, spin them around, and see who can stick their spider closest to the web’s centre.
Why we love it: It’s simple to set up and always gets lots of laughs.

3. Mummy Wrap Relay
Divide the kids into teams, hand each team a roll of toilet paper or crepe paper and let them choose a “mummy.” Teammates race to wrap up their mummy from head to toe. The fastest or best-wrapped mummy wins!
Why we love it: It’s a classic messy game that never fails to delight children.
4. Candy Balloon Stomp
Hide a sweet surprise inside balloons by slipping a small piece of candy or a toy inside before inflating. Scatter the balloons around and let the kids stomp on them to find their prize.
Why we love it: Kids get so excited to pop balloons, and the hidden treats make it extra fun.
5. Eyeball Toss
Set up buckets, cauldrons, or even carved pumpkins with holes and give the kids “eyeballs”, ping pong balls with eyeballs drawn on them or small beanbags. Each child takes turns tossing the eyeballs into the targets. Add points for trickier targets!
Why we love it: It’s safe, simple, and works indoors or outdoors.
